I fell in love with the beautiful fabric, because it reminded me of the chrysanthemum flowers in my Grandfather’s garden, they always seemed so huge when I was tiny. I chose this tumbling block design, as I thought it would show of the fabric. I also love growing primula’s myself & this year I have planted chrysanthemums too.

Full description
This unique and striking purple and green tumbling block quilt, was pieced and hand quilted by me, it measures 145 cm ( 57 inches) by 140 cm ( 55 inches).
The quilt is made using high quality cotton and hand dyed cotton thread, the wadding is ‘green dream’ made from recycled plastic bottles.
The quilt top is made using primula and chrysanthemum fabric by Philip Jacobs ( Kaffe Fassett collective fabric) and a coordinating print. The backing fabric is a neutral grey cotton with tiny black line dogs and white paw prints. The binding is dark purple cotton. The hand quilting follows the shape of the pieces, emphasising the tumbling block design.
This quilt has not been pre washed and has been made to be used. It can be machine washed on a cool or gentle wash, a colour catcher should be used on the first wash. Quilts do soften and wrinkle over time, which adds to the handmade charm, occasionally quilts may need a little TLC.
The quilt was handmade in a smoke free environment, please be aware that a dog also lives here.
