Aventurine is a form of Chalcedony, a compact and microcrystalline Quartz.
Other well-known gemstones belonging to this group include Agate, Jasper and Onyx.
Green Aventurine, like most green stones, is thought to bring inner peace, tranquility and enhance self-esteem.
It is sometimes called the the Stone of Luck, or the Gambler's stone, as it is believed that carrying a piece of Aventurine in the left pocket will attract wealth and good fortune.

Dainty drop earrings featuring a 6mm frosted green Aventurine bead, 4mm pale peach Mashan Jade round, 4mm 'stardust', Tibetan-style silver bead, 3mm Swarovski "light peach' bicone and a 6mm Jade star.
The Tibetan-style 'stardust' bead is nickel and lead free.
They are hung from sterling silver ear-wires.
These earrings measure 1 inch (2.5cm), excluding the wires.
Presented in a small organza gift bag.
