Handwoven in 6 shades of very fine Merino lambswool in a Fibonacci gradient. Gently shifting from deep navy through turquoise and teal, to lighter shades of sea spray , the scarf plays with colour and light when wound around the neck creating dramatic shifts in light and dark. Woven in a complex network twill, creating the irregularity of ripples in the breeze. Inspired by the breeze whipping up the rock pools of Robin Hood’s Bay, this is the perfect weight of scarf, and is great for people sensitive to wool as merino is smooth, non itchy and naturally regulates temperature. Very light, with a good drape.
Measures approximately 26cm x 200cm
Woven entirely by hand on a custom-built 8 shaft Swedish floor loom from surplus high-quality yarn otherwise destined for landfill.
Designed by Nell Swift in Peak District
