Needle Felted Viking complete with theatrical horns and woolly axe.
Created with 100% wool.
I used many beautiful woolly blends for this Theatrical Viking including British core wool, Corriedale fleece and coloured Bluefaced Leicester curls.
This Woolly Viking is sitting on a natural wooden slice covered in dried Suffolk moss.
This Viking is approximately 5 inches tall, including his horns and natural wooden slice.
I have always been intrigued by Nordic mythology. So much so that I even named my daughter after one of the Viking Goddesses.
I love to use history as inspiration for needle felting creations and Woolly Vikings just work so well with their bushy beards.
I am aware that “historical” Vikings would not have had horns on their helmets but “theatrical” Vikings are so much fun to create.
This Viking was 100% needle felted and handmade by me.
I adore creating my Vikings and each one is one-of-kind and no two handmade creations will ever be the same.
All my needle felted creations are for decoration only and not for small children.
