A macrame plant hanger with an intricate delicate looking design down each sennit.
This is a large plant hanger made from bobbinys braided 100% recycled cotton in terracotta colour.
A wooden ring has been wrapped near the top and below this is a leaf design. leading down from the leaves are 3 decorative sennits and each one has a flower attached between another leaf design. The flowers are made from 100% cotton bakers twine and a small decorative wooden bead sits in the centre of each flower. Below the basket the design resembles little butterflies.
Plant hangers can be so versatile. As well as holding plant pots, they can hold a display of plants, ornaments, a vase of cut flowers or how about of snack bar, or hanging fruit bowl! Simply inserting a shelf opens up many possibilities. I have used a lazy Susan and a wooden chopping board as my shelves for photographic purposes.
The plant hanger measures 130cm when not in use. Please note this will alter depending on the dia of the pot / shelf inserted and also the weight as bobbiny braided cord will lengthen when weight is added. To give an idea when the plant pot (17cm dia) in the photos was placed in, the length extended to 101cm plus 32cm tassels below pot. When the wide lazy susan was placed in, the length shortened to 88cm plus 32cm tassels below.
