This Lavender Floral Wall Heart, has been inspired by a combination of Folk Art, Folklore and my love of nature and interest in the healing power of certain plants.
After forming the initial clay base, the Hearts are then decorated with various plants that are symbolic, seasonal or healing in some way.
Choosing underglaze colours that echoe the natural colours and shades of the original plant and also enhances the details that the clay has captures.
The reverse side of this floral heart has been left blank and unglazed, so you could write a personel message or name on the back.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description
This Pottery Floral Heart, has been hand cut from a slab of rolled white earthenware clay, before being decorated with press moulded lavender spikes and stems, made from an original cast taken from lavender in my own garden.
After careful drying to avoid warping, the Heart shaped Wall Art, receives its first firing, before being layered with thin washes of coloured under glazes, picking out the fine details of the Lavender plant, creating a low relief, fossil like effect.
Finally a clear glaze is poured over the completed piece, deepening the colours and giving a smooth glossy, tactile finish after the glaze firing.
This Heart measures approx 15 cm in height, 14 cm n width and a depth of 5 mm.
Strung with a faux suede like, ivory chord, this Wall Art is ready to hang immediately.
