Welcome to Jackdaw Bindery - thank you so much for visiting! Here you will find a wonderful selection of hand-bound soft cover leather and cork wrap journals and sketchbooks, created using a range of hand selected materials. Each and every item that you find in my shop has been hand-bound by myself in my little studio in West Ashling, West Sussex on the South Coast of England.
All of the leather I use have been sourced as a by-product from the upholstery and automotive trade which may otherwise end up as waste. If you have an idea for a custom book, I would love work with you to create the perfect handbound journal for your needs, just get in touch and we can go from there!

These A5 sketchbooks are perfect for on the move! I have sourced some stunning cotton rag paper for these journals - cotton rag paper is handmade using cotton tshirt waste and retains the natural deckle from the moulds on all sides of each page, the paper is acid-free with a medium surface texture and is perfect for all drawing and painting media. Handbound in my West Sussex studio, the rustic feel of cotton rag paper pairs wonderfully with their soft leather wrap covers.
