This is an original linocut print of an adorable little elephant shrew, made using oil-based black relief ink and hand-printed on 100gsm brown kraft paper. The print is number 6 in the second variation of an open edition. The print measures approximately 12cm high by 14cm wide, and comes editioned, signed and dated.

The photos I have used in this listing are of the exact print you will receive. As no two lino prints will ever look the same, please check the images to ensure you are happy with the print.

If you live in the UK, the print is sent using Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class. For all other countries it will be sent using Royal Mail International Standard Tracked & Signed.

Welcome to my Folksy shop! After selling my art and illustrations for 18 months I decided to create a shop specifically for my original works such as lino prints, screen prints and paintings.

I was lucky enough to see a Pygmy Shrew on a walk in Rendlesham Forest, and when I went onto Google to learn more I eventually came across the Elephant Shrew (which, by the way, is actually not a shrew, or even a rodent!). As if their big round and eyes and long 'trunk' noses weren't cute enough, when I started clicking through pictures of their tiny, fluffy babies I was obsessed. I have to start drawing them straight away, and filled two pages of my sketchbook with little balls of fluff. I had a square of lino and decided to transfer one of my sketchbook drawings onto it, and begin carving. The rest, as they say, is history!
