I wanted to paint this table with a design that reflected the era that the table originated from. I love retro colour schemes and designs and although initially I thought this seemed like quite a simple design, painting it took me far longer than I though it would. I had to keep such a steady hand and the shape of the wood work meant painting slowly and deliberatley. I felt such a sense of satisfaction when I finished it and the result to be both elegant and cool retro, modern yet vintage.
