Welcome to the Wonky Towers shop. In our shop you will find a variety of household items and gifts, mostly with an Eco-focus - things that can be used and reused without costing the planet or emptying your wallet. We use up scraps, repurpose materials and prioritise natural new materials. We love colour and our products are attractive, environmentally friendly and useful. We don’t want to be preachy - just to make things that are a pleasure to use.
If you spot something you’d like in a different colour combination or other feature, drop us a message and ask - many things are possible.
Postage: generally we only post to the UK. EU regulations prohibit us from posting to Europe and Northern Ireland. If you wish to order from other parts of the world we will consider this on a case-by-case basis. Our preference to have the delivery tracked will mean the cost may be prohibitive.

I love experimenting with the materials I have. This is such a great way to use sheep’s fleece and is fun to do.

I’ve had such fun making these and I hope you enjoy using them. They are a great way to reduce energy usage during wet weather or for those who don’t have the benefit of a washing line in the garden.
These tumble dryer balls are a great example of how versatile natural products are and how they can be used and reused. These ball have been formed using a combination of wet and needle felting. The main ball is made from the insulated wool packing that protected my husband’s medicine delivery. Once wet felted in the washing machine, it has been decorated with coloured wool. The result is a firm ball, about the size of a tennis ball, which will not unravel and loves being tumble dried. We supply a set of 4 balls in a drawstring bag.
Tumble dryer balls are great for speeding up the drying process by separating items of laundry, allowing better warm air flow. They smooth out creases, soften towels and can reduce static. Pure wool is a natural product, so much better than plastic balls or non-recyclable dryer sheets. The wool speeds up the drying process even more by absorbing moisture from your laundry. The balls can be used over and over again, will not release any toxic chemicals into your dryer and when they reach the end of their useful life you can pop them in your compost bin.
Being hand made, the balls vary a little in size. They are generally a bit bigger than a tennis ball and may not be perfectly spherical.
