I have always loved pearls and I wanted to make a trinket pot that would look elegant and serene … somewhere to keep safe any small item, but especially pearls, earrings, rings … even cuff links perhaps. The blue-green colour of the pot is evokative of the shallow waters of the sea, and the bright gold of the interior warms the soul like golden sunshine.

Full description
Due to being stored touching another item, some damage occurred to a “petal” and I had to retouch the area. Please see photos.
La Perla Trinket pot is spherical, measuring 10.5cm high and approx 10cm wide. It weighs about 67g.
The pot features a removable silky tassel which is attached via a lobster clasp to the lid of the pot.
It has been cast from plaster from a silicone mould and then designed and painted with several layers of gold and pearl paint, creating an impasto effect that is wonderfully tactile.
Finally two coats of satin varnish will protect it from dust and UV rays.
This is a unique one of its kind item, handcrafted by me.
