Full description
Felt bird hangars embroidered with hand stitched patterns in the colours of the Ukrainian flag.
My initial idea to make something to sell in aid of the crisis in Ukraine was a little Blackbird hangar with decorative embroidery in the colours of their flag. Then I looked up and discovered that their national bird is a Nightingale, which is a similar shape bird, but brown. I liked this just as much, so I’ve done some of each.
I will donate £5 for each bird sold to the British Red Cross, Disasters Emergency Committee. I’ll post within the UK.
The birds are approx 10.5cms tail to bill, 7.5cms head to base, ribbon or cord hangar 6cms or so. They are all hand stitched with a sequin eye and ribbon bill, which is stiffened with nail varnish. They are softly filled with off-cuts.
The birds are all different, so please have a careful look at the last photo and let me know which one you’d like at the checkout.
