Woodland Flute OOAK Pendant.
A large-ish, and long OOAK pendant made of premium white porcelain. Perfect gift for your Mum on Mothers Day. Or to keep it for yourself.
I hand sculpted this unique pendant from creamy white porcelain clay.
This process is very painstakingly long to make a perfect item, and has taken me such a long time (days, in this case) to create it.
I love, love the result, though, if I may say so myself!
How I made it:
I pressed a real leaf when the porcelain clay is still damp. After drying it, I fired it at 1040 degrees Centigrade. Then I used ceramic colourants to decorate the pendant. To fuse the ceramic colours onto the porcelain, I fired it again this time at 1260 degrees Centigrade. The veins of the leaf are perfectly picked out in gold.
It's very light yet very durable! Just avoid dropping it on a hard surface!

All my ceramic colourants and glazes are unleaded, lead free bought from reputable British dealers and all the glazes and colourants I use comply with the British Standards. I never work with leaded ceramic ingredients.
