Inspiration
I keep hens here at Bramble Cottage. Amongst my flock I have two round ginger Buff Orpingtons like this one. They have a tendency to ' go broody' and make really good mums.
This one has a ' don't mess with me look'. Like all mums she is fiercely protective of her chicks!
Can you spot all six chicks? One of them is almost completely immersed in her downy under feathers.
I started this painting with a watercolour base and then added form and texture with coloured pencils and pen. The splashes added at the end set the mood and suggest movement.

Full description
An open edition signed high quality print of an original drawing. The original art work is mixed media. Each print is professionally mounted in a textured white mount . It will be wrapped in cellophane and tissue and posted in a sturdy box .

A4 (20.00 plus signed for delivery) - including the mount the print measures 305mm x 410mm (16 x 12 inches)
A3 (38.00 plus special delivery p&p ) - including the mount the print measures 290mm x 410mm ( 16 x 20 inches )
