Full description
These dainty little handmade earrings are made using small oval Aquamarine beads and sterling silver ear studs.
Aquamarine is a sea blue in colour with some white inclusions.
An ancient gemstone, it was believed by ancient civilisations to have been gifted to humans by mermaids.
The ancient Greeks believed it was crafted by the God Poseidon direct from the sea.
The name Aquamarine is Latin, the translation of which means water of the sea.
Ancient mariners would carry Aquamarine as a defense talisman against the wrath of the sea and as a protection from the song of the sirens.
Aquamarine resonates most strongly with the throat chakra. It is said to have a refreshing and uplifting energy to it and can be used to clear and energise the aura.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March.
The Aquamarine beads are approximately 10 mm x 8 mm and hang from a 4 mm sterling silver ball which is attached to the ear post. The earrings come with sterling silver butterfly fittings.
Suitable for every day wear or to a special occasion these earrings would make a lovely present, especially for a March birthday or for some who loves the sea or has an interest in the chakra system, crystals or meditation.
The earrings come on a card explaining the properties in a pillow box and are sent by 1st class Royal Mail postage.
