I’ve been working with glass for over 20 years. Ever since I first picked up my chosen glass and glass cutter, I’ve been hooked. I am fascinated by the properties of glass, the array or colours and the processes that that can be used to create different effects. There is always something new to learn and new tools and materials to invest in. It really is addictive!
What I especially love about working with glass are the colours. From crystal clear to shimmery dichroic to opaque pure blocks of colour that will never fade or dull.

Full description
Fused glass hanging suncatcher, inspired by my awe of the pure energy and colours of the sea. This suncatcher features hand cut copper words saying "The waves whisper to me." It looks beautiful when hung in a window. A beautiful gift for a friend or relative who loves the ocean and perhaps dreams of having a seaview from their window.
To make it, I cut transparent art glass into 2 circular shapes and used specialist paints and powdered glass to create my wave design. I then added to copper letters. I fused it overnight slowly in my kiln. In the heat of the kiln, the specialist paint changed into hundreds of tiny turquoise bubbles. When completely cooled, I drilled the tiny holes and added a hanging wire.
Comes ready to hang on a silver wire.
Item comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string. A gift message can be included, just contact me to let me know.
