I have always loved our family holidays to the North Norfolk coast. We spend our time walking in the woods and across the heathland, looking and listening out for all the wildlife that makes it’s home there.

Full description
To wit, to woo! An original and unique hand painted set of eight wooden nesting dolls, depicting some of our most loved creatures of the British countryside.
The largest piece is a gorgeous barn owl, standing at 17.5cm tall by 9.5cm wide.
Nestled inside the owl is a cute, wild bunny sitting on his hind legs. This little rabbit measures 14cm tall by 7.5cm wide and is signed on the base by the artist.
Inside the bunny is a jay, our most colourful corvid, resplendent in blue. Due to the natural qualities of his wooden form, Mr Jay is a little wobbly on his base, but all the more loveable for it. He measures 11.5cm tall by 6cm wide.
Snuggling inside the jay is a shy, red squirrel with his bushy tail. He measures 8cm tall by 4.5cm wide.
A little hedgehog sits inside the squirrel. He measures 5.5 cm tall and 3cm wide.
The tiniest of woodland birds, a firecrest sits inside the hedgehog, it measures 4.5cm tall by 2.5cm wide.
A beautiful privet hawk moth, hides inside the firecrest. The moth measures 3cm tall and 1.5cm wide.
Last a little ladybird, like a crimson jewel sits inside the moth and measures 2cm tall by 1cm wide.
Please note that whilst I have tried to be as accurate as possible, all measurements are approximate.
Each creature has been given at least 2 thin coats of satin acrylic varnish to protect the paint.
These original, one-off designs are hand painted and the brush marks are easily detected, creating a unique and occasionally textured surface.
