2005, I was approached by Traquair House to create a collection of tapestry kneelers. My brief was to look around the House and choose images and embroidery to inspire new designs.
Pansy details were inspired by the amazing embroideries on display at Traquair House including Stuart Petit Point and Jacobean slips.
The complete Traquair House Chapel Needlework Collection is on view in the chapel and was embroidered by community stitchers to celebrate the 900th anniversary of Traquair House. Traquair House is a uniquely wonderful place to visit, once there, you will fall in love.

What wonderful jewel colours in this Pansy Tile Tapestry kit , it can be a small tapestry cushion or cushion insert,tapestry wall hanging or tile as well as an unusual coaster or bag front.
These wild Pansies are also known as Violas and Heart's Ease. They must be the happiest of all flowers.
A wonderful little tapestry to stitch, mine is made into a wall tile by binding the edges with wool.
All my designs are 'framed' by a richly coloured border which will save you some cash. Simply fold over the edge and whip the wool all around and back again. Need some help with this stage? Just contact me for some advice.
