Full description

Amethyst is the birthstone for February. A perfect, bright gemstone to brighten up those grey winter days.

I handmake these earrings using 5mm rose cut amethysts. The stones are a cabochon style shape in that they are flat at the back and domed on top, but the dome is faceted which allows the light to bounce and dance within and on the stone. This makes them beautifully sparkly.

They are a perfect everyday dot of colour and these stud earrings make an ideal gift.

As well as being the birthstone for February, amethyst is the stone representing 6th and 17th anniversaries.

Those who know about crystals say that it is a stone of balance - it's name comes from the ancient greek "amethystos" which is translated as "not intoxicated" - and rather than protecting you from too much prosecco it thought to help you keep a steady and calm head no matter what life throws at you, as well as blocking negative energy.

As with all of my jewellery, these earrings will be sent to you in a little recycled card gift box with free p&p as standard.
