The relief work featured on this necklace was made using one of the tips from the fennel I planted in my cottage garden. These plants happen to be enormous, fluffy giants that grow taller than me, filling the garden with their feathery leaves and heady liquorice scent through the summer months.
Apart from looking and smelling pretty, the fennel plant can be used as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, it has antibacterial properties and is said to be good for the heart and mental health.
Growing up in Somerset and settling here once again, I have been inspired to design a collection of nature themed jewellery in celebration of the local landscape.
