This is the second little doll I have made based on the traditional china headed dolls of Victorian times. I love the original ones so much, I wanted to make something that would capture their charm.

Full description
Lucinda is a sweet little girl based on the traditional china headed dolls of Victorian times. She is 25cm high and her head, lower arms and legs are individually hand modelled and painted. Her body and upper limbs are made of calico and she wears a dress of very fine muslin in burnt orange decorated with golden chain stitch at hem and sleeves. Under this she has long drawers and a lace trimmed petticoat. She has little black painted slippers and painted blue garters. Her black hair is also hand painted with a painted blue bow at the back. Lucinda is a doll for collectors only and she is not a toy.
