My world of donkeys! Those familiar with my prints might be aware that I create a lot of prints featuring donkeys. I don't think they are championed nearly as much as they should be in the art world, so I feel it is my job to do so.

Full description
This is a hand-pulled screen print entitled 'The Donkey Clouds' printed in dark blue on black paper.
This is one of my many prints dedicated to donkeys and the weird world in which I portray them. When I started my donkey prints I originally wanted just to celebrate them, as I felt that they are a rather undervalued creature (in art and life) but things have developed from that idea!
This composition came about with the idea of donkeys having strange dreams, influenced by the already strange land that they inhabit. The helping hands are there to assist them, just in case...
Dark blue System 3 ink on Daler Rowney 150gsm acid-free paper. From a tiny edition of 5, signed, titled and numbered. It is a pretty dark print as you can see from the images. There is also a larger edition available with blue ink on cream paper.
The print image measures H13xW17.5cm.
The paper measures H21xW29.7cm.

Printed by myself at my home studio, Sheffield, UK. Each one is slightly different, as is the nature with screen-prints. I created the image initially as a linocut print, and then transferred the image to a silk-screen to hand-print the edition.
The print will be posted flat in a cellophane sleeve and protective packaging.
