I created one of these card designs for my niece who is into hip hop and rap. Plus first time using acrylic paint to create a card.

"Birthday Hip Hop" Card hand-painted in Acrylic
There are 3 silhouette figures (male dancer, female dancer and female rapper) painted in black onto kraft cardstock. There are 2 designs per silhouette figure:
A. painted turquoise background with an orange stencilled diamond
B. painted turquoise brushstrokes with stencilled rectangles
Each card front has had distress ink smooshed across the top and bottom on the Kraft card and from the side on the turquoise painted one. Colours used are: Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door and Fossilized Amber. The sentiments are from two Tim Holtz stamp sets; Hashtags and Papillion. Each were stamped in archival black, embossed and spiced marmalade ink blended across each one.
These card designs are completely different from what I have created previously, apart from the sentiments, these were the only stamp sets I used. The silhouette figures have been sketched directly onto the card base and the grunginess added using acrylic paint with stencils. The envelopes have been stencilled to match A. diamonds (spiced marmalade) and B. rectangles (peacock feathers) with happybirthday stamped in archival ink.
