All my earrings are handmade in Cellardyke using sea glass and antique sea pottery found washed up on the beaches in the East Neuk of Fife. Each piece is a one-off, all worn smooth by the rough Scottish seas.
The sea glass washes up on the beautiful beaches in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland. Much of it dates back to the Victorian era and is known as 'mermaid tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
A pair of sea glass stud earrings, handmade using tiny fragments of pale cornflower blue Scottish seaglass. The posts and butterfly backs are sterling silver. The studs measure approximately 10mm x 6mm. Each pair comes complete with a gift box. Blue glass in particular is rare. It was commonly used in medicine or poison bottles! (Item: 2058)
(Please don't wear the earrings in the shower or bath as the heat/water/steam may weaken the glue.)
All my jewellery is handmade in Scotland from naturally sea-worn materials. I love to gather these treasures while beach-combing on the beautiful beaches in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife as well as the surrounding beaches of St Andrews, Pittenweem, Crail & St Monans.
