I have made these simple crocheted netted shopping or market bags using a lovely strong cotton yarn which is machine washable in a warm 30degC medium wash, dry flat and don’t tumble dry.
It is reusable time after time so is a great replacement for plastic bags many of which are single use.
Roll or fold up to keep in your bag or maybe keep in your car.
The hand crocheted netted design is very stretchy and will hold lots of shopping, especially good for vegetables. Great for storing your vegetables in too when you bring them home.

The final photo shows a bag holding over 2 kilos of my favourite Maris Piper potatoes.
I am quite short and find this size bag is perfect for me to use because even when it has heavy things in it, it does not drag on the ground,
It will return to it’s original size when washed,
There are lots of other uses for these bags around your home ie. great in a child’s room for small soft toys, keeps your yarn together for a single project.
