Snowdrops are a welcome sign that Spring is on the way and for many people they are a symbol of hope. The little white flowers cope with the worst of the winter weather, so delicate and yet so resilient!

Full description
This is a very intricately hand stitched piece of work featuring clusters of snowdrops in snow, with falling snow worked as tiny French Knots in fine white silk. The border is made from a variety of vintage fabrics, stitched into place with tiny stitches. I have chosen three very old mother-of-pearl buttons from my collection to add texture and lustre to the work. The double mount adds depth and interest to the piece, accommodating the buttons.
The textile is framed in a lightly distressed whitened wood frame measuring 8" (20cm) square and the embroidery will arrive with glass in place, corded, with my studio stamp on the back, all ready to hang. The mount carries the title 'Snowdrops' and is signed.
This piece of miniature framed embroidery would make a unique lasting gift for a loved one, to mark any number of special times from birth to retirement!
I always pack my embroideries with great care so you can be sure it will arrive in perfect condition. You will only pay one delivery charge of £5.50 (1st Class Royal Mail) no matter how many framed items are in your basket. (All cards are post free)
