Aquamarine is named for the colour of the sea, and is a type of beryl that gets its blue-green colour from traces of ferrous iron. The tone ranges from very light, as in these 3.5 mm stones, to moderate - as with the dyed jade beads and the Swarovski crystals.
Aquamarine is the birthstone for Pisces and March, and the stone for the 19th wedding anniversary.
