Black spinel is very durable and has high reflectance, making it an excellent stone for jewellery.
The AAA quality faceted coins I have used here are just beautiful, so shiny and sparkly that it is easy to understand why black spinel was often mistaken for black diamond.
Spinel and Onyx are birthstones for August and Leo.

Striking bracelet featuring a pair of super-shiny faceted AAA quality black spinel coin beads set on either side of a sparkly Swarovski bicone in the colour "golden shadow", and set between pairs of 6mm x 4mm barrel-shaped red bamboo coral and 4mm black onyx beads.
A lovely gift for her - a birthday, anniversary or as a treat for yourself.
Handmade (by me!) in my home workshop here in Devon, UK.
This stretch bracelet measures approximately 7 inches (17.5cm).
Presented in a small organza gift bag.
