Full description

Inspired by my love of mermaids and vikings, this little ship is set with a creamy/yellow African sapphire cabochon.

Measuring approx 41mm x 30mm. Hallmarked by Sheffield Assay Office.

This pendant comes with an 18 inch chain. If different length preferred please advise when ordering.

Making process:

Each piece I create is my own design and made using traditional jewellers tools; these include a jewellers saw to pierce out shapes, hand engravers, metal punches and hammers to create detail and texture, with a fair bit of soldering, filing, sanding and polishing. My finished work is oxidised to highlight the detail in each piece.

I started making jewellery in 2005 and my inspiration has remained constant over the years; a deep love of nature, wildlife, folklore and mythology; feeling connected to our ancient ancestors through the beautiful landscape of the British Isles and my love of history.

Thank you for visiting my Folksy shop.
