Full description
Unique handmade pottery thrown on a potter's wheel.
This essential oil burner is made from stoneware pottery which means it is very durable. The clay gives a biscuit speckled colour which contrasts with the glaze.
It is made in 2 parts, the main body and the dish on the top is not attached so that you can easily take it off to clean. The body and bowl are first thrown then when it is leather hard, then turned and I add my makers mark and carve the holes. Once dry it is bisque fired then glazes are applied and it is fired again to 1220 oC. All glazes are lead free.
The bowl is glazed in Gardom's green glaze. This glaze varies in texture and colour from a mat green in places making it a one of a kind and unique.
