Full description
This cosy scene of cottages in the snow is embroidered using appliqued fabric sewn with free motion embroidery and made into a lantern. Each tiny bit of fabric is cut out by hand from lace, broderie anglaise and other fabrics and sewn onto a dusky blue cotton. The windows and moon have had the backing fabric cut out to make the lights shine through and turn it into a really cosy scene.
The lantern measures approximately 12cm high and 10cm in diameter. It is not suitable for a naked flame but casts a lovely soft glow with a battery tealight or fairy lights.. It is supplied with a battery tealight.
Please note that this is a handmade item, therefore the fabric scraps and stitching may differ slightly from the pictures.
