15.5 inches tall (39cm) with hand-painted features and felted hair of dark brown sheep’s wool, Matilda is hand made from linen. Her limbs are loosely jointed so she will happily sit on a shelf or a seat. She is fully dressed in little pants made from vintage lace, a lace-trimmed lawn underskirt and a printed cotton smock dress with satin ribbon shoulder straps. This is topped off with a hand embroidered felt jacket. Matilda’s red shoes and white socks are painted. Matilda is a doll for collectors only, she is not a toy.
