The Squirrel design brings a little bit of natures wildlife into your kitchen. This substantial, durable, custom wooden spoon appeals to animal lovers of all ages.

The design is carefully hand burnt into the wood using Pyrography, one line at a time (no lasers are used here) This Drawing with Fire technique ensures you are receiving a one-off piece as no two can be exactly the same. The design will not rub off or fade as it is burnt into the wood.

All wood components are finished with 100% food safe mineral oil, this protects the wood, seals in moisture and acts as a barrier to stains and heat damage. It creates a surface that wont allow bacteria to reside giving you a long lasting utensil.

Personalisation is offered so you can treat someone special with this nature inspired, unique gift.

The inspiration for this spoon comes from a lake nearby where we live, it has trees all around it and if you stand really still and are very quiet the squirrels will come very close to you. I manage to get photographs of them which i use to create sketches, these sketches become templates for my wood burning designs.
I feel very lucky to have so much nature and wildlife nearby. I think it can make people smile when everyday items are made extra-ordinary using wood burning art.
