We’ve always been big fans of all things colourful here at Casa Elf. Handcrafted wooden items are a delight to use in your daily life. So much more rewarding than their metal and plastic counterparts. These wonderful cheese knife/spreaders are a lovely way to start your day with toast, or perhaps with some soft cheese, bread and soup for dinner.

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description

A curvy spalted beech wood soft cheese knife/spreader- perfect for soft cheeses and also spreading butter, jam or anything else you choose. A band of the handle is finished in the pitch black shade of milk paint, from the Old Fashioned Milk Paint range. Even in black using it is sure to brighten up your day!

Hand made using traditional tools including axe, knife and drawknife. This spreader has been split from a fresh beech log, the shape drawn on, before being axed out and then finish carved by knife. Thus, the finished item shows the lovely smooth facets from these sharp tools and no sanding is used. The stunning handle colour is applied using food safe milk paint, and then the wood grain and milk paint is enhanced and sealed using organic food grade linseed oil. My elf hat makers logo is also burned into the handle. The log used for making the spreader, was locally sourced from an arborist.

Your item will be posted in environmentally friendly, recycled and plastic-free packaging which can be put into either composting or your paper recycling bin.

Caring for your spreader- Hand wash only with warm soapy water, rinse and leave to air dry. Avoid long soaks in water or cleaning in a dishwasher.
