I purchased the timber some time ago and really liked the grain pattern. The timber was too shallow to make bowls with so I tried to think of other ideas and came up with this!

Full description
This tiered cake stand has been handmade on our lathe from two pieces of London Plane for the plates and two pieces of Iroko for the spindles. This stands at 21cm tall with the bottom plate being 20cm wide and the top plate 18cm wide.
This has been sanded to a fine finish and the coated with food safe oil. As with all of our wooden products we advise against using detergent to clean, instead use damp cloth and dry straight away. Occasionally apply a thin coat of olive oil to maintain.
