This traditional cloth bag is made from one continuous piece of fabric which is folded in a series of ingenious origami folds before being sewn together.

It is meant to be a slouchy, soft bag worn over the shoulder or held in the hand and is both roomy and practical, as well as being a stylish, eco-friendly shopping bag.

Full description

A traditional Origami or Japanese Azuma Bukuro Bag made from Vintage Designer label fabrics.

The outside of the bag is a vintage linen from the design house GP and J Baker called 'Sari' from the 1980s featuring exotic blooms, birds, leaves and urns in glorious shades of wine-red, royal blue and green, all set on a neutral background.

This has been teamed with another vintage linen 'Madura tree' designed by Joseph Conran for Habitat (V & A Collection) in complementary shades of red and blue which forms the bag lining. The handle has also been made from the lining fabric.

The bag measures approximately 55 cm along the bottom (at its widest point) and 53 cm tall from handle to base.
