Item details

Plum wood, like all fruit woods, is very prone to splitting and warping when it dries. That makes it a tricky wood to work with. This bowl was rough turned, the outside covered in wax to slow down drying, and left to dry for 6 months. After that it was turned to its final shape. Despite the precautions, it still warped slightly. That adds an organic look to the bowl
