Thanks for visiting Judy Adams Ceramics!
These two pieces are from my Lucienne Collection named after the 1950s textile designer Lucienne Day whose work influenced a wide area of design for the home. She explored many design sources, but my Lucienne Day favourites, such as Calyx, are from the natural world.

These little non-identical twins make a lovely set of informal vases for showing off a single bud or small flower posy, perhaps in a bedroom for a special guest or as a pretty addition to a breakfast-in-bed tray. I hand made them from black stoneware clay, forming three little feet at the bottom by pinching in the clay. Inside they are glazed a russet brown to hold water, or you can use them for pens and pencils. The outside is the natural matt finish of the black stoneware clay, and I have used spots and dots in cheery yellow and white before firing to 1185 degrees C. The larger of the two is 9cms high and 3.5 cms across, and the smaller is 8cms high and 2.5 cms across. Price is for the pair.
