The skull, heart and rose pendant.
It is inspired by my love for tattoos, especially the influence of traditional tattoos and symbolism.
The skull as a reminder of our mortality, it is also a big symbol of strength, overcoming challenges, leaving behind an old life or big change that has occurred in life.
The heart stands for love & life and together with the skull that love lasts longer than life and continues after death.
The rose stands for the beauty of life and the beauty within us. But is also a symbol for our loved ones, those still in our life but also for the ones we've lost or left behind.
The bones are a symbol of death, the otherworld, but also carry the meaning of life, eternity, strength, power, being tough - bones as the human remains that seem to last forever.
Combined it stands for what is most important in life. For love and family, for bonds and loyalty, for life and its beauty and being aware of our mortality and thus living it to the fullest.
This is a lot of meaning packed into a silver pendant just as there are a lot of silver smithing techniques and different materials of sterling silver and fine silver combined in this piece.
It has a matt and antiqued finish, holds a deep red glowing garnet gemstone and comes on a 18inch(45cm) long Figaro chain with a matching antique finish.
The pendant is about 5cm in diameter and is relatively heavy.
It is a one of a kind. Shipping within the UK is free.
