I made a series of butterfly paintings during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. I wanted to create a collection of brightly coloured butterflies, one for each colour of the rainbow. This blue Morpho Butterfly was the first, and I concentrated on using a limited colour pallette to ensure that the colours stayed bright and vibrant.
This painting looks particularly good when grouped with the Monarch (orange) butterfly and the Green Birdwing butterfly paintings from the same series.

This listing is for a print produced from one of my original paintings of a Blue Morpho Butterfly (Morpho didus). This print forms part of the Rainbow Butterfly series I created in 2020-2021.
The print is and is produced on high-quality, achival standard, 100% cotton mould made paper, which provides a bright white smooth surface to compliment the butterfly painting. The paper is acid and ligin-free.
All of the products in this shop are made in the UK, use recycled papers whenever possible and processes that reduce waste.
