About Jerri Rose Art & Design

Jerri Rose Art & Design

Colourful, nature inspired illustrative products from the heart of Yorkshire

My name is Jerri and I live in Yorkshire, England with my two boys and my husband. I love nature and animals, my youth was spent outside riding my bike, building dodgy dens and going on day-long adventures with my friends (back in the days when you just had to come home when the streetlights turned on...)

I have always loved animals. My constant companions on my childhood adventures were a rescue dog called Jack and a poodle called Midnight. I have loved and lost too many cats to mention as well as ferrets, hamsters and a Galah called Blue. In fact, eight-year-old me used to confidently tell everyone that I was going to be a vet one day. Well, I didn't! I became a forensic scientist (obviously!) for a while and then started working for different charity organisations, some with an animal welfare focus. I also had a short stint at Spud-u-Like in my youth (I lasted one day). Throughout my variety of jobs and since school I have drawn, painted, and sketched daily.

Whilst on maternity leave I continued to draw and paint when I could - usually whilst holding a baby in a sling or using naptimes for art rather than chores! I slowly started selling some of my creations and designs and I haven't looked back since.
