This unique wooden circular Christmas Tree ornament with a Dove insert, has been upcycled from reclaimed Pine and Sapele (also known as African Mahogany) wood. This beautiful Christmas bauble will make a lovely addition to your Christmas tree. This ornament will make a perfect gift for numerous occasions such as a gift for teacher, a gift for aunt or a Christmas present.
The decoration is approximately 8 cm in diameter and approximately 1 cm in depth.

A piece of recycled wood was cleaned and sanded to enable me to upcycle it. The design was applied to the wood and cut using a Scroll Saw. The Intarsia woodworking technique was applied where different species of wood were cut and shaped into three dimensional pieces and then glued together to form a design. The decoration was finished with Danish Oil which is food and toy safe. To complete the decoration a loop and ribbon were added to allow for hanging.
I am a firm believer in upcycling using reclaimed wood whenever possible. I often recycle the packaging I send out my items in.
