I love nature, which forms the basis and inspiration for all my art. These scarves immortalise the beautiful form of leaves. Winter may come and the leaves may drop from the trees, but there will always be part of that tree in my art. So special, I think.

Full description
This is a unique silk scarf which is made using eco-printing and eco-dyeing techniques. Natural leaves, flowers, berries, bark and roots, which I have collected from around the property have been used to create this item. The process fixes them to the silk. The hem is then hand rolled.
Each scarf is different and takes around 2-3 days to create. This one has an indigo background, with walnut leaves in green, grey and gold colours, rowan leaves in grey and oak leaves in grey. It measures approximately 15 inches (38 cms) by 55 inches (140 cms).
Eco prints may change and develop over time and there will be slight imperfections (if you want to call them that) as this is not a mechanised process. The colours on the screen may vary slightly from the actual colour, although I have tried to represent the accurately, by taking photographs both outside, using natural daylight, and inside my studio.
Care instructions: hand wash only using a mild pH neutral soap, wash separately, never rub, twist or wring while washing, dry in shade (never direct sunlight), and never expose to direct sunlight when not using in order to avoid the dyes fading. Iron on a cool setting. Store in a dry place. Never wash in a washing machine. Never tumble dry. Some of the dye may leach on the first wash, but should not affect the overall quality of the scarf.
