Keep the rainclouds at bay and add a bit of joy to your day with these rainbow & cloud earrings!

These statement earrings featuring mini wooden clouds and rainbow shapes have been created with different materials and are completely unique - even if I made another pair, they wouldn't end up completely the same!

I started by hand painting the clouds a pale grey acrylic paint and the rainbows a white colour. Then I added a special embossing powder mix that has mini sparkle mica added to a clear base.

On the rainbows, I hand-coloured the stripes using artist quality watercolour pens, that paled to a pastel colour when I added the clear/mica embossing powder. I finished the back of the earrings with matching sparkle mica pigment paint and a couple of coats of acrylic varnish.

I then secured surgical stud earring posts and attached the rainbows using cute silver plated leaf bails, so these earrings are filled with movement! Surgical steel is a hypoallergenic metal and perfect for those with sensitive skin.

These statement earrings are perfect for that maximalist look - the total drop length is approximately 4cm and the width of the rainbows are just under 4cm.
