The Little Germany Series of wall hangings are super cute. I wanted to create something that was as intricate, layered and bohemian as a massive wall hanging, but small enough that it would fit in any space - I have one just above my desk!

This design uses a natural stick and has natural cream coloured cord which is a blend of 80% cotton and 20% recycled polyester.

The design itself features elements which come to a point in the centre and are counter balanced by soft, curved layers. Each layer is different and there are two spirals hanging on either side of the centre piece. This is a really lovely, textured wall hanging.

The dimensions of this wall hanging are: Width: 15 - 19cm Length: 23cm

These measurements are approximate - as the wall hanging is made of a natural stick rather than a cut piece of wood, the length of the stick will vary, but it will be somewhere in the region of 15 - 19cm.

Funnily enough, this piece was inspired by me making a massive wall hanging that was 1.5m wide. It was so much fun adding in all the different elements and layers, and I loved how much detail I could fit into such a big design, but it was so big that I didn't have anywhere in my house that it would fit!

So, I went on a mission to create a series of wall hangings that were just as complex and layered, but so tiny they could fit anywhere in even the smallest of spaces. I have one of these hanging on a nail above my desk and another hanging from the handle on my bedroom window.

Little Germany the place, is an area in the centre of Bradford where a lot of the factories and workers came from Germany. I chose to name this series after the area because, well, they're Little. I've been told this is very cheesy, but it is what it is.
