Serpentine is often referred to as new jade or olive jade, but is not a jade at all.
It ranges in colour from a darker green-brown, greyish-green and pale yellow-green.
It often has a mix of these colours giving the appearance of snake skin.
Serpentine will usually have inclusions of black or brown and sometimes swirls of milky cloud shapes.

Full description
I have added this necklace to the 'Seconds Sunday' sale - it is in perfect condition, but is an old line, and I need to clear some older stock to make way for new lines.
The teardrop pendant measures 18mm x 13 mm and is black onyx.
The necklace is made up of yellow-green serpentine rounds, rough-cut pyrite rondelles and hematite beads that graduate from 6mm rounds to ovals and then barrels.
Between the beads are four groups of three swarovski crystals in the colours "luminous green", 'light topaz" and "jonquil". to add extra sparkle to the piece.
It is finished with a gold vermeil trigger clasp.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with gold, and the clasp is stamped "925".
The necklace measures approximately 19 inches (49cm).
Price includes delivery within the UK.
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and sent, 2nd class, in a recycled padded envelope.
