silk pyjama wearin’ zombie sloth - applique, free motion & hand embroidered, size miniature big-ish - hot pink.
this festering zombie sloth measures 17cm (7 inches) from the top of his lumpen head to the tip of his toes. with his arms outstretched, he has a glorious 34cm (13 inches) wingspan, tipped with deadly razor-like claws.
this limited edition sleepy sloth wears bespoke hand tailored pink silk pyjamas. the skull embroidered pocket is fully lined for carrying important snacks & tissues. obviously.
i’ve hand dyed the cotton calico a mottled corpse-grey colour, his face is pale blue irish linen.
cotton fabrics are appliqued, and the details drawn on with free machine embroidery.
hand embroidered french and bullion knots add textural embellishment to the arms, body front & back, in co-ordinating colours.
the sloths themselves have been made entirely on a domestic sewing machine, everything is cut, stitched & drawn freehand by me.
they’re made from heavy weight calico, stuffed with polyester filling (CE & BS5852), and finished by hand.
due to very nature of handmade, hand dyed & free hand embroidery, each zombie will vary eeever so slightly.
