I am enjoying paper-pieced , hand stitche patchwork, combined with a little embroidery and using offcuts and recycled fabrics. This one is 'postage friendly' - fitting in a 'large letter' sized package.

Full description
Apretty selection of pink toned fabric squares, some of them off-cuts others reclaimed fabric, have been patchworked together, to create the front of this pincushion. The back is a pink and white striped canvas-type fabric.
This pincushion is 'postage friendly'. It is a little less plump than some of my others and can be posted at 'large letter' rate - a significant postage saving. Inside the base of this pincushion is a panel of plastic cut from a recycled milk bottle - as a precaution in case of protruding pin points. The centre of the pincushion has a button stitched through the base, to restrict its depth. I use one of these pincushions myself and find it to be entirely satisfactory.
