I wanted to use four small canvas boxes to paint the same picture on all four of them.
The Star Wars Death Star fitted perfectly.

Full description
This is a 4 piece painting of the Star Wars death star. Each block is painted on a 2 x 2 inch canvas. It’s painted in acrylic paint and is introduced in the first Star Wars production, A new Hope.
The Death Star was later destroyed by Luke Skywalker flying an X wing bomber.
I think the piece works on many levels but is particularly strong with each canvas placed a couple of inches away from the next. It gives the Death Star a bit more depth and menace.
