I do love cats and they are one of the first animals I ever made. Over time I have introduced different styles and as my experience has grown I have made the positions more complex.
Cats come in many different colours and I enjoy being able to recreate markings in my own style.

Full description
I slip cast in earthenware clay from a piece mould I have produced from my original stretching cat sculpture.
Once the cat has been bisque fired I hand paint with underglaze colours, light grey, black and white. I apply the colours with brushes, layering them to achieve a tabby cat coat.
The stretching cat has been finished with a clear gloss glaze and fired to a temperature just above 1100°c
This stretching cat is an original hand painted design and I think makes a delightful ornamental cat figure.
